He finished 1st out of 234 in a $109 rebuy, winning a very nice $25,630

Jason Strasser at the 2007 WSOP

Monday, June 11th, 2007

Jason has been doing fairly well so far. He managed to finish 26th in the opening event of Mixed Holdem, winning $15,898. He also finished 12th in the $1000 NL Holdem event, narrowly missing a final table but still winning $23,811

Due to work commitments Jason wont be able to play the main event this year, which is a shame, but hopefully he can go deep in some of the remaining events in June

Jason Strasser finished 12th in the LA Poker Classic Main Event. This was a $10,000 buy-in event of NL Holdem and Jason took home $91,125 for his 12th place.

Stasser, looking to arrive at the final table with a good stack, kept up his trademark level of selected aggression. However when reraising with QT offsuit, Fernadez with AJ offsuit wouldnt take a hint and back down. The call was made. The AJ held up agaisnt the QT and Jason was sent to the rail.

Strasser doing well in LA Poker Clasic

Wednesday, February 28th, 2007

Jason Strasser currently in 2nd place after day 3 of the LA Poker Classic.

Jason Strasser was shortstacked for most of the evening on Day 3 until he found KQ and moved all in. Wasicka (WSOP 2006 Main Event Runner-Up) called with 99, but the flop was good and Strasser moved up to 425K.

Strasser, who was seated at Wasicka’s table for most of the night, made a late push for the top spot in chips after he scooped a pot worth over 300K. With about 100K in the pot Strasser bet 100K. His opponent went into the tank for seven minutes before he reluctantly called. Strasser flipped over two pair to take down a chunky pot.

Jason ended the day with 677,000 chips, only slightly behind the chip leader Edler William who has 696,000.
